Penrith is buzzing with excitement as the community rallies behind the Penrith Panthers, showing unwavering support for their beloved NRL team. Panthers stars Nathan Cleary, Liam Martin, and Liam Henry recently made a heartfelt visit to Nepean Hospital, bringing joy to young patients in partnership with Allam Property Group. The initiative saw the players deliver gifts to children, spreading smiles and showcasing the true spirit of community and sportsmanship.
Penrith City Council has thrown its full support behind the team, encouraging residents to embrace the Panthers spirit by decorating their homes and workplaces in red, green, and black. To help fans show their pride, Council is distributing free limited-edition posters, available at the Civic Centre and St Marys Office.
For avid readers and Panthers fans, Penrith City Libraries are offering special Panthers-Council bookmarks at their branches in Penrith, St Marys, and St Clair, though supplies are limited. Children can also join in on the excitement with a downloadable Panthers-themed colouring sheet provided by Council’s Children’s Services.
Penrith City Council General Manager Andrew Moore expressed his pride in the Panthers and the community’s enthusiasm.
“The City is thrilled to see our beloved Panthers bringing pride to Penrith once again,” Mr. Moore said. “I encourage all fans to decorate their homes and grab some Panthers memorabilia to show their support.”
Mr. Moore highlighted Council’s efforts to enhance the city’s Panther spirit, with flags and banners installed across the Penrith Local Government Area.
“This year, we’ve gone all out with posters and bookmarks as an extra way for fans to show their love for the Panthers,” he added.
Residents are reminded that posters are limited to two per household or business, and bookmarks are restricted to one per person while supplies last.
As Penrith rallies behind the Panthers, the community is united in their hope for another historic NRL achievement.
