The ballroom may have dimmed for Corey Feldman, but the actor isn’t letting whispers of backstage drama steal the spotlight.
Following his elimination from Dancing With the Stars season 34, Feldman moved quickly to shut down speculation of a feud with professional partner Jenna Johnson; a rumor that had swirled since their unexpected early exit.
The Stand By Me and Goonies star, 51, took to Instagram to defend their partnership after critics suggested friction behind the scenes. “Thank U Jenna!” Feldman commented on Johnson’s heartfelt Sept. 24 post. “U were an absolute joy to work with. I’m so sorry for any negativity the media is using to give the false narrative that our time together was anything less than enjoyable.”
Addressing chatter that he may have skipped rehearsals or clashed with his pro, Feldman didn’t mince words. “U know as well as I do that I was there 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks, doing everything in my power to give U my best even if the judges couldn’t see it.”
Johnson, for her part, echoed the positivity. In her post, she praised Feldman for his humor and effort, writing: “Our time together was cut short but I am SO grateful for the incredible weeks we did get to share… I’ll cherish our friendship forever. Never stop dancing.”
Rumors of tension began earlier this month after Johnson admitted she hadn’t seen Feldman since the cast’s Good Morning America announcement on Sept. 3. Her candid Instagram Story sparked questions about his commitment, with fans asking why their usual rehearsal TikToks were missing.
Now, with both partners speaking out, the question remains: was the drama simply overblown, or was there more brewing in the ballroom than viewers realized?
